Sydney King, Corporate Board Vice President

Sydney King is a 2013 HOBY Maryland Alumna who represented Western School of Technology and Environmental Science in Catonsville, MD. Since her time as an ambassador, Sydney has remained actively involved with HOBY, holding positions such as Director of Recruitment, Facilitator/Junior Facilitator, CLeW Volunteer, and Team Alumni. In 2023, she joined the Corporate Board, where she has served as a Trustee, Secretary, and currently serves as Vice President.

Sydney attended the University of Maryland–College Park, where she earned her Bachelor of Science in Information Systems and Marketing, followed by her Master of Science in Information Systems. Professionally, she works as a Principal AI Systems Engineer on the AI Governance team at Northrop Grumman. Outside of work, she loves to travel, spend time with family and friends, and give back to her community. Sydney’s favorite part about HOBY is watching ambassadors and volunteers turn their great ideas into action as they grow into the next generation of leaders.
