L4S: Warmth in the Winter

September 27
2-5pm (Flexible Timing)
Esperanza Center
430 S Broadway
Baltimore
Please note -- the event is an "open house" -- so students may come after school to help complete the 20 no-sew blankets. Non-HOBY friends are welcome; the more the merrier!

Bring donations that help keep people warm in the winter, and help make easy, no-sew fleece blankets for our clients!

Items most needed are:
  • shoes and clothes (appropriate for work)
  • jackets and sweatshirts
  • scarves, hats, gloves, etc.
  • fleece fabric and scissors

Thanks! We appreciate your help and are excited to have some no-sew blankets crafted!

RSVP to Beth (or ask questions) at HOBYbeth@gmail.com443-326-2418, or on Facebook! Donations may be dropped off ahead of time -- contact Beth to arrange drop-off anytime.

2014 Seminar Committee Meeting

October 6
2-4:30pm
The Frost Center
4915 Aspen Hill Road
Rockville

Let's kick off 2014 seminar season right! All alumni, volunteers, friends, and family are invited to join us to help officially launch our 2014 seminar.

Interested in volunteering? Joining Team Alumni? Making sure your school is involved again? Then be sure you join us for the start of our new season.

Help us know how many to expect by RSVPing to our Facebook invite:
https://www.facebook.com/events/436477689802517/

In order to accomodate folks from out of the area, we will be broadcasting the meeting via Google+ once again this year. However, above and beyond last year, we will now be using Hangouts on Air. What this means: If you want to be a "voice in the room," first you have to add us to your circles. https://plus.google.com/110142074848101164030/.

Second, be on Google+ about meeting time when we start so you can join the hangout.
